Support

Nittygritty's clients enjoy regular scheduled on-site visits from an engineer. This provides a stable foundation for maintenance and development of IT systems, user skills and a good working relationship. Their helpdesk job ticketing system allows users and managers to log incidents and assign a priority to these so they can be dealt with either on the next scheduled visit or as a call-out. In the rare event of a serious failure at a client site an engineer will forsake any scheduled work to attend to the emergency. Our contract stipulates on-site presence within four hours although the reality is that an event of this nature is normally dealt with within the hour.

Consultancy

Nittygritty firmly believe that business requirements must be the primary driver for IT strategy. Our ethos is to devise affordable, appropriate solutions which deliver a sound platform for growth. We primarily work with Microsoft Windows platform although we have extensive experience with UNIX-based operating systems including Mac OS as well.

In addition to the purely technical, we are also able to advise on best practice in a wide range of areas including storage, document and backup management, security, Internet and email usage, networking, remote working and mobile solutions . We maintain close working relationships with our clients and these are strengthened by our philosophy of regular, scheduled on-site visits for support.

CAD

A large number of Nittygritty's clients are users of Bentley Systems Microstation CAD software. Nittygritty are able to provide assistance with workspace development, custom tools, training and standards for Microstation, Powerdraft and TriForma. We recognise that there is substantial investment of client's time, skills and money in this software and that small improvements made will deliver large benefits.

Hosting

Nittygritty have expertise in designing the architecture of highly available, highly scalable web sites. We can advise on hosting frameworks, software, hardware and network infrastruture, and work with you to implement the chosen design.

Development

Our in-house development team build bespoke software solutions, tailored to the specific needs of our clients. Using agile methodologies and web development frameworks such as Ruby on Rails and Microsoft .Net, we aim to deliver high quality, good looking software on a tight schedule.
